Regional COVID-19 Testing Centers Now Open

The Virginia Department of Health has opened nine new Community Testing Centers (CTC) to help address the current record-breaking surge in COVID-19 cases. Northern Virginia CTCs are located in Woodbridge and Fairfax. All tests at CTCs are free, but appointments are required. Find and schedule an appointment. Alexandrians should use the search tools to set the distance range to 25 miles.

Positive Test Result Guidance by Text

Due to surging COVID-19 case numbers, the Alexandria Health Department (AHD) is unable to call every individual who has a positive test result. AHD is now contacting some individuals by text message to encourage them to learn when they can safely be around others. The text message reads: “Act on your COVID-19 test result: visit alexandriava.gov/CovidNextSteps or call 703.746.4988. Para español, responda con el número ‘1’.” Individuals who need resources to help them stay home safely may call the Alexandria COVID-19 Hotline at 703.746.4988.
