Alexandria Police Investigate Juvenile Shooting Incident 

For Immediate Release: December 16, 2021

The Alexandria Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division is investigating a call for service made approximately at 11:58 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021, in which a juvenile arrived at Inova Hospital with a gunshot wound to the upper leg.  While at the hospital the 16-year-old juvenile succumbed to his injury.  

Preliminary investigation suggests that there is no threat to public safety and that this was an isolated incident. We refrain from publicly disclosing personal information when juveniles are involved.
