Alexandria Police Department Announces Street Closures and Parking Restrictions for PNC Parkway Classic

For Immediate Release: November 5, 2021

Alexandria, VA – The Alexandria Police Department announces there will be street closures and parking restrictions for the PNC Parkway Classic November 6-7.  The race begins at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 7, 2021.

On Saturday, November 6, at 7:00 a.m., Pendleton Street will be closed from N. Fairfax Street through N. Union Street to Oronoco Street until 12:00 p.m. on Sunday.  No parking will be allowed throughout the closure.

On Sunday, November 7, road closures and parking restrictions along the race route begin at 6:00 a.m.  Union Street will be closed from N. Union Street and Pendleton Street to S. Union Street and Franklin Street.  Franklin Street will be closed between S. Union Street and S. Washington Street.  S. Washington Street will be closed from Franklin Street to the Fairfax County line on the George Washington Memorial Parkway.  You will not be able to enter the City of Alexandria from Fairfax County on the George Washington Memorial Parkway.  The ramp from I-495 to Church Street will also be closed for the race.
