Alexandria Police Department Announces Weekend Street Closures for October 30-31

For Immediate Release: October 29, 2021

Alexandria, VA – The Alexandria Police Department announces street closures for two events the weekend of October 30-31.

For the St. Rita’s 5K & Fun Run for Education on Saturday, October 30, Potomac Avenue will be closed from East Reed Avenue to Main Line Boulevard.  Main Line Boulevard will be closed from Potomac Avenue to the southern dead-end loop.  Closures will run from 6:00 to11:00 a.m.  Traffic will be diverted to Richmond Highway during the closure.

On Sunday, October 31, South Lee Street will be closed from Gibbon Street to King Street for the Lee Street Halloween event.  The closure runs from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
