Alexandria Police Department Makes Arrest in Shooting on Cameron Mills Road

Alexandria, VA – In the early morning hours of Monday, October 11, 2021, members of the Alexandria Police Department’s Criminal Apprehension Unit arrested Mr. Rudy Bueso Macedo for the October 10th shooting in the 3800 block of Cameron Mills Road at the Lloyd Apartments.

At approximately 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, October 10, 2021, officers responding to a call for shots fired in the area, discovered an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds to the lower body in an apartment.  The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived.  The victim was taken to the hospital.  His injuries are not life-threatening.

Mr. Rudy Bueso Macedo, 38, from Audubon Avenue, Alexandria, VA (Fairfax County), is charged with Malicious Wounding, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, and Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm.  He is being held at the Alexandria Adult Detention Center.
