Alexandria Police Department Makes Arrest in Shooting on Cameron Mills Road

Alexandria, VA – In the early morning hours of Monday, October 11, 2021, members of the Alexandria Police Department’s Criminal Apprehension Unit arrested Mr. Rudy Bueso Macedo for the October 10^th shooting in the 3800 block of Cameron Mills Road at the Lloyd Apartments.

At approximately 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, October 10, 2021, officers responding to a call for shots fired in the area, discovered an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds to the lower body in an apartment.  The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived.  The victim was taken to the hospital.  His injuries are not life-threatening.

Mr. Rudy Bueso Macedo, 38, from Audubon Avenue, Alexandria, VA (Fairfax County), is charged with Malicious Wounding, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, and Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm.  He is being held at the Alexandria Adult Detention Center.
