Alexandria Police Department Searches For Critical Missing Man

For Immediate Release: June 17, 2021

The Alexandria Police Department is searching for 34-year-old Peter Edwards.  He was last seen around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, in the 600 block of Shillings St.  On Thursday, June 17, 2021, a helicopter was called around 1:00 a.m. to assist the search, but Edwards was not located.  He is considered critical due to his mental health concerns.  Edwards is known to frequent the area of S. Van Dorn St. and Edsall Rd.

Peter Edwards is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds.  His hair and beard are longer than they appear in the attached picture.  Edwards was last seen wearing a dark t-shirt and jeans. He walks with a pronounced limp.
