[Archived] Community Policing Review Board Public Meetings Begin Tomorrow, February 27

The City of Alexandria invites community members to participate in virtual public meetings to discuss the structure of a Community Policing Review Board. Options for Review Board structure and a proposed ordinance will be presented, along with facilitated discussion, during the virtual meetings on Saturday, February 27 at 10 a.m., and Wednesday, March 3 at 7 p.m. 

The meetings, which will be streamed live, will be accessible in English, Spanish and Amharic by selecting the language preference using the ‘globe’ icon in the virtual meeting browser or app. Recordings of the February 27 meeting will be posted online in each language on Monday, March 1, with other summarized Review Board structure options and an opportunity to provide comments in all three languages. Recordings of the March 3 meeting will be posted online in each language on Thursday, March 4.

Feedback received before March 9 will be provided to City Council for consideration. An ordinance will be subject to public hearing and consideration of approval as early as March 13.
