Alexandria Police Department Investigates Indecent Exposure Cases in the Del Ray Area

For Immediate Release: February 26, 2021

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating several indecent exposure cases in the Del Ray neighborhood.

There have been approximately 10-11 cases of indecent exposure between May 2020 and February 2021.  The incidents occurred on different streets including Mount Vernon Avenue and E. Glendale Avenue, and usually in the morning.  The suspect’s description has varied from case to case, making it hard to determine the number of suspects involved.  In one case, our K-9 unit was able to track the suspect’s scent for a short distance, but then lost it.  There have been no injuries reported in any of these incidents.

The Police department encourages anyone who is a victim or witnessed these incidents to call 9-1-1.  If you live in the neighborhood, please review your security cameras and call police if there is suspicious activity.

Remember, if you “See Something, Say Something.”
