[Archived] City of Alexandria Seeks Public Input to Evaluate Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Readiness Strategy

For Immediate Release: July 10, 2020

The City of Alexandria is seeking further public input on the Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Readiness Strategy launched earlier this year, which provides a roadmap of the electric vehicle charging infrastructure needs for City residents, workforce members and visitors. This effort is identified as an action in the City’s Environmental Action Plan 2040, and supports Smart Mobility goals.

The Alexandria community and interested stakeholders are asked to evaluate projections for electric vehicle charging infrastructure needs and identify location recommendations for publicly-accessible charging infrastructure, with integration into a broader regional charging infrastructure network. The Alexandria community and interested stakeholders can provide feedback online by July 24.

Visit the City’s Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Readiness Strategy project page for more information about the development process, project updates and community engagement opportunities.
