City Manager Mark Jinks invites the public to a presentation of his proposed Fiscal Year 2021 Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program on Thursday, February 20, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., at Beatley Central Library (5005 Duke St.). This will be one of several opportunities for members of the community to learn more about the proposed budget.
The meeting will also be streamed online at alexandriava.gov. Jinks will answer questions from in-person attendees and online viewers following his presentation.
On Tuesday, February 18, at 7 p.m., Jinks will formally present the proposed budget to City Council at a special meeting in the Alexandria City Hall City Council Chamber (301 King St.). This meeting is also open to the public.
Proposed budget documents will be available at alexandriava.gov/Budget, as well as a detailed schedule of planned work sessions and public hearings, concluding with the budget adoption by City Council on April 29.
