For Immediate Release: February 10, 2020
The voter registration deadline for Virginia's March 3 Democratic Party Presidential Primary is February 10. Any eligible U.S. citizen who will be 18 years old by November 3, 2020, is eligible to register and vote in this primary. Voters in Virginia do not register by political party.
There is no Republican Party Presidential Primary this year. Instead, the Republican Party will hold a statewide convention in the spring.
If you have moved since the last time you voted, please make sure you are registered at your current address. You may check your registration online at vote.elections.virginia.gov, by email at voters@alexandriava.gov, or by calling 703.746.4050. Voters who do not update their registration records before the deadline are at risk of being ineligible to vote in this election.

Election Officers must be registered voters in Virginia, and willing to work from 4:45 a.m. until after the polls close at 7 p.m. (and results are tallied). It’s a long day, but it will go fast, and you will receive $150 for your efforts.
