[Archived] City of Alexandria Winter Recreation Program Registration Begins Wednesday, December 18

For Immediate Release: December 3, 2019  

Registration for winter classes and activities offered by the City of Alexandria’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18 for city residents and on Friday, December 20 for nonresidents. Winter registration applies to programs taking place January through mid-April 2020. 

Does your pup need some prep to become prim and proper? Try Dog Obedience, Dog Essentials or House Training and Potty on Command in our newly expanded dog obedience offerings. Ready to celebrate the new year with the goal of getting organized? Envision your ideal at the Vision Board Party or Happy Planner Party classes. Or, make this spring break an adventure with Cooking Around the World Camp, D.M.V. Explorers or Magic Science Spring Break. For added convenience, extended day options are available.

The Winter 2020 Program Guide features more options you will not want to miss. Boost your workout by adding a fitness pass, and save 10% on Chinquapin 12-month passes as part of the New Year Pass Sale. Plus, learn about exercise programs, clubs, sports and more for ages 55 and up in the quarterly Power Plus newsletter.  

Registration will be available online or in person at the Registration and Reservation Office at Lee Center (1108 Jefferson St.). For a complete list of winter programs, including those that do not require registration, the Winter 2020 Program Guide is available online. Printed copies can also be found at all Alexandria recreation, nature, and art centers, and at City libraries beginning December 9.
