[Archived] City of Alexandria to Host Innovation Forum on Alexandria Mobility Plan

The City of Alexandria will host an Innovation Forum for the Alexandria Mobility Plan on October 7, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, in the Clara Barton Auditorium (600 Dulany St.). All are welcome to attend this unique event featuring local and national experts speaking about the intersection of technology and transportation.

The Alexandria Mobility Plan is an update to the 2008 Transportation Master Plan. It will establish transportation priorities and introduce new technologies that can enhance the way we get around, so that the City can serve the needs of residents, businesses, and visitors as the region continues to grow.

The Forum will begin with an open house from 6:30 to 7 p.m., which will include interactive sessions about the Alexandria Mobility Plan. The open house will be followed by a presentation and panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities for the City to consider as it develops a mobility plan to make Alexandria a better place to live, work, and visit. The panel discussion will provide an opportunity to ask questions and provide input on the Alexandria Mobility Plan. The meeting will also be livestreamed on the Transportation & Environmental Services Facebook page for those who are unable to attend in person. Questions can be submitted through this format as well.
