[Archived] City of Alexandria to Host Community Workshop on Health Improvement Plan

For Immediate Release: September 19, 2019

The Alexandria Health Department and the Partnership for a Healthier Alexandria invite everyone who lives, works and plays in Alexandria to a community health workshop on Saturday, October 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the T.C. Williams High School Minnie Howard Campus (3801 W. Braddock Road).

During this event, community members will decide which health issues from the recent Community Health Assessment will be included in a five-year Community Health Improvement Plan. Attendees will then participate in small group discussions to explore the causes behind the selected priority health issues. Everyone’s voice is needed for this important event to help build a healthier Alexandria. Spanish, Arabic, Amharic, and American Sign Language interpreters will be available and breakfast and childcare will be provided.

Attendees are encouraged to register online. To register for the community workshop or to learn more about the Community Health Improvement Plan process, visit alexandriava.gov/Health.
