The Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities is
expanding its registration options for the 2019-20 school year Out of School Time Program to provide families more walk-in
registration location options and convenience.
The updated registration schedule is as follows:
- Monday,
August 19 through Friday, August 23: Registration
is available online at alexandriava.gov/Recreation
and in-person at five designated program locations.
- Monday,
August 26 through Friday, August 30: Registration
is only available in-person at five designated program locations and is
not available online.
- Tuesday,
September 3 through Friday, September 6: Registration
is only available in-person at the Registration and Reservation Office at
Lee Center and is not available online.
- Beginning
Monday, September 9: Registration is available
online at alexandriava.gov/Recreation and in-person at the Registration and Reservation Office at Lee Center and
at all Out of School Time program locations.
The five designated program locations accepting in-person
registration are as follows:
- Registration
and Reservation Office at Lee Center (1108 Jefferson St.), Monday through
Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Charles
Houston Recreation Center (901 Wythe St.), Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to
9 p.m.
- Leonard
“Chick” Armstrong Recreation Center (25 West Reed Ave.), Monday through
Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Patrick
Henry Recreation Center (4653 Taney Ave.), Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.
to 9 p.m.
- William
Ramsay Recreation Center (5650 Sanger Ave.), Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.
to 9 p.m.
Registration is currently being accepted and space is still
available on a first-come, first-serve basis to participate in the afterschool
program at the following locations:
- Charles
Houston Recreation Center (901 Wythe St.)
- Leonard
“Chick” Armstrong Recreation Center (25 West Reed Ave.)
- Patrick
Henry Recreation Center (4653 Taney Ave.)
- William
Ramsay Recreation Center (5650 Sanger Ave.)
- John
Adams Elementary School (5651 Rayburn Ave.)
- Douglas
MacArthur School (1101 Janney’s Ln.)
- Ferdinand
T. Day School (1701 N. Beauregard St.)
The Charles Barrett and Mount Vernon programs have reached their
maximum capacity.
