[Archived] City of Alexandria Hosts Community Discussion on Top Health Issues

For Immediate Release: June 12, 2019

The Alexandria Health Department invites residents to “Building a Healthier Alexandria Together,” a community conversation on Wednesday, June 26, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Beth El Hebrew Congregation (3830 Seminary Road). The event will review the results from a year-long collaborative Community Health Assessment on the health status of Alexandria residents, and will outline next steps to address top issues. All residents are welcome to attend this free event and join efforts to build a healthier community.

Facilitated by the Alexandria Health Department alongside regional and local partners, Alexandria’s Community Health Assessment examined public survey results alongside data on health, housing, education, socioeconomic status, food access and hunger, and public safety.

Attendees are encouraged to register online and to select a dinner meal preference. Spanish, Arabic, Amharic, and American Sign Language interpreters will be available.
