[Archived] City of Alexandria Launches Online Business Tax Services

For Immediate Release: April 10, 2019

The City of Alexandria has launched a new online service that enables businesses to securely access their tax accounts, view historical data, file tax returns and make payments online.

“The business community is one of the City’s most important partners,” said Director of Finance Kendel Taylor. “When businesses thrive, we all thrive, and providing access to a convenient, secure, and modern online tool for filing and paying taxes is a great way for us to support them.”

The new service enables business owners to file returns, make payments, pay and review records regarding the Admission, Meals Sales, and Transient Lodging taxes; file Business Personal Property tax returns online; and upload fixed asset listings. Businesses may also enroll in electronic billing notifications and reminders. Additional functionality for filing and payment of Business, Professional and Occupational License (BPOL) taxes online will be added in the coming months. Other tax filing and payment methods will continue to be available, including by mail or in person.
