[Archived] City Hosts Informational Workshops for the Business Community

For Immediate Release: April 10, 2019

The City of Alexandria invites the business community to two workshops on how to register as a vendor and do business with the City.

Staff from the City’s Purchasing Division will be joined by Alexandria City Public Schools, DASH, and AlexRenew to walk businesses through the process of registering as a City vendor, verifying any applicable qualifications as a Small, Women, and Minority owned business (SWaM), and responding to solicitations, and more.

The sessions are free and open to any business interested in working with the City, and businesses that are already registered as vendors. City purchasing staff will give brief presentations about their agencies, procurement needs, and bidding and contract award process, then answer questions from attendees.

The first session will be on April 26, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, at the Patrick Henry Recreation Center.

The second session will be on May 17 from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Nannie J. Lee Center.

Light refreshments will be served.

No RSVP is necessary. For more information, contact James Pearson at james.pearson@alexandriava.gov.
