The City of Alexandria invites anyone looking for an affordable place to rent or own in Northern Virginia to visit the 2019 Northern Virginia Housing Expo, on Saturday, March 30, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Washington-Lee High School in Arlington (1301 N. Stafford St.). The free public event will showcase first-time homeownership, rental opportunities and resources throughout Northern Virginia. The expo will feature workshops and exhibits designed to educate attendees about location options, being prepared for buying or renting, understanding and improving credit scores, senior housing options, condominium governance, improving energy efficiency, and more. Refreshments can be purchased from on-site food vendors.
This event, now in its ninth year, is coordinated by the counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William and Loudoun; the cities of Alexandria and Falls Church; the Virginia Housing Development Authority; and nonprofit partner First Home Alliance of Woodbridge.
The event is free to the public thanks to platinum sponsors Arlington County Housing Division and Prince William County Department of Housing and Community Development, gold sponsors City of Alexandria Office of Housing and Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority, and other sponsors.
