[Archived] City of Alexandria Invites Community to Participate in Oakville Triangle and Route 1 Corridor Vision Plan Update for Virginia Tech Innovation Campus

The City of Alexandria will host the first in a series of community meetings on Monday, April 1, to share information and answer questions related to Virginia Tech’s planned Innovation Campus, which will involve updates to the Oakville Triangle and Route 1 Corridor Vision Plan.

The April 1 meeting will be held at the Oakville Triangle warehouse (444 Swann Ave.), from 7 to 9 p.m. The event will be streamed live online, and viewers will have an opportunity to watch and participate in real time. Topics discussed will include a site overview, schedule and process, and a discussion of the academic vision and programming. Members of the Virginia Tech Innovation Campus planning team will be in attendance to provide information and answer questions.

The community meeting series will continue in May and June to address topics such as land use, circulation, open space and transportation, among others. In addition to community meetings, the City is planning a variety of engagement opportunities, such as pop-up and online events, to gather input throughout the planning process.
