[Archived] Department of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities to Host Natural Resources Land Management Meeting

The Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities’ Natural Resources Division will host a meeting on Tuesday, December 18 at 7 p.m. at the Park Operations Building, 2900 Business Center Dr. to provide information about natural resource management and best practices in the City. The main presentation points will be:

• What is a Natural Area?
• Process of how Natural Areas are Proposed and Established
• How and When Natural Areas are Maintained
• What are Invasive Plants and Why Should we Care

In addition, staff will answer questions on the Natural Resource Management Plan currently available for public comment. To view and make comments, visit the Natural Resource Management Plan project website. Comments will be accepted through December 31, 2018.

Parking for the meeting is available at the Witter Recreation Fields, 2660 Witter Dr.
