[Archived] Police Identify Homicide Victim

The victim has been identified as Diamond Moore, 20, of Alexandria. 

Police Investigate Fatal Shooting on Holmes Run Parkway

The Alexandria Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation in the 5500 block of Holmes Run Parkway on Friday, December 7, 2018.

At approximately 9:46 a.m., police were dispatched to the area for a possible shooting. Upon arriving, officers located an adult female on the street suffering an injury to the upper body. She was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The victim is a 20-year-old resident of Alexandria. She will be publicly identified after the notification of next of kin.

This is the fourth homicide in Alexandria in 2018.
