[Archived] Department of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities Schedules Tree Planting in Ben Brenman Park

The Department of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities (RPCA) has partnered with volunteers from Tree Stewards to plant 55 trees around Ben Brenman Park on Saturday, November 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  The trees being planted will replace some trees that have died, be placed in parking islands, some will complete existing tree lines, and others will shade existing trails.  There will be no impact to active or passive use areas or open space within the park.  This project supports the City's mission to increase the tree canopy and RPCA's Strategic Plan focus area - Invest in our Natural Environment.
