[Archived] City of Alexandria to Recognize 2018 “Housing Heroes” at November 13 Ceremony

For Immediate Release: November 9, 2018

The City of Alexandria will honor its 2018 "Housing Heroes" at a ceremony on Tuesday, November 13, at 5 p.m., in the Sister Cities Conference Room 1101 at City Hall (301 King St.). The Housing Heroes program was launched in 2017 to recognize significant pro bono professional and corporate contributions to support City housing affordability programs and those they serve in our community. This year's Heroes are Danny Abramson of Abramson Properties; Cindy M. Clare of Bell Partners, Inc. (formerly with The Kettler Companies); Stephanie H. Oliver of Monument Title Company, Inc.; Vanessa J. Rodriguez of RE/MAX Executives of Del Ray; and The Kettler Companies.

The ceremony will include the presentation of a proclamation by Mayor Allison Silberberg celebrating the Heroes' contributions, and display of a plaque with the names of the 2017 and 2018 winners. Members of City Council, the Alexandria Housing Affordability Advisory Committee, the Landlord Tenant Relations Board, and 2017 Heroes will also be in attendance. The public is invited to attend, and there will be a short reception after the presentation and remarks.
