[Archived] RPCA Schedules Invasive Plant Removal at Backlick Run

The Department of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities (RPCA) has scheduled contractors (IPC) to begin removal of invasive plant material from Backlick Run at Ben Brenman Park on both banks adjacent to Sommerville St. and the dog park the week of October 29.  Weather permitting the work will occur over a two (2) to five (5) week period. The purpose of the work is to improve environmental conditions for native trees, plants, and animals by reducing the negative impact of invasive plants. Please be advised that IPC will post signs in the areas where activity is occurring.
