The Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities invites all photographers to share your best original photos taken at any City of Alexandria park, center, program, or event. Photos should represent the Department’s mission to "enrich the City of Alexandria by creating meaningful experiences through public space, cultural activities and programming."
There’s still time to submit. Photo submissions are being accepted through October 22, 2018 with public voting online November 1-15, 2018. All photos have the possibility of being used in publications and promotions.
Prizes will be awarded for each category: Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Activities. There will also be one Grand Prize winner. Winners are scheduled to be announced on December 1, 2018 on the Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities website at www.alexandriava.gov/Recreation. All winning photographs will be displayed online and at the Lee Center, and all winning photographers will receive an award certificate with their prize.
