The City will host its 2nd annual LIT! Festival on Friday, August 10, 2018, from 7:30 pm – 11 pm at Waterfront Park, 1A Prince St. This is a FREE event and will take place rain or shine.
All ages are welcome to come and experience two musical acts. We have alternative R&B vocalist Elle Pierre (Ellepierremusic) hailing from Brooklyn, NY to intrigue your ears with new sounds you will get lost in. Our second performers are local - The Peace & Body Roll Duo BOOMscat (@boomscat), Washington, DC based band, consisting of keyboardist/drummer/producer, Asha Santee (BOOM), and vocalist/songwriter Jennifer Patience Rowe (scat). “Together, they create a sound that ignites vulnerability, elevation and self-reflection.” In between sets, catch eclectic sounds provided by DJ KRYPTK from D.C.
In addition to live music there will be an amazing Electric Garden’s Caterpillar Lounge by The Foam Collective boasting solar charging stations, listening stations equipped with headphones, and sandbox light table. Participants will also be able to enjoy, free of charge, henna tattoos, and marble skin painting. For you tasting pleasure, there will be food truck vendors
for delicious bites to eat and flavored frozen treats as well as free ice-cold
water.
