The Alexandria City Council invites the public to a dedication ceremony and community open house to celebrate the reopening of Warwick Pool (3301 Landover St.) on Thursday, May 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. The ceremony will occur rain or shine.
The new Warwick Pool features a 4,100-square-foot pool with water depths ranging from zero to five feet; five 25-yard lap lanes; an accessible ramp for persons with disabilities; a seasonal bathhouse; lockers; and recreational amenities for family and community activities.
Following the dedication by City Council, the open house will feature family-friendly activities from the Mobile Art Lab and Jerome “Buddie” Ford Nature Center; child and family summer program offerings; and a “meet and greet” with pool staff. Light refreshments will be available.
The Warwick Pool will open for full service on Saturday, May 26.
