The next “Bagels and Bach” Concert is scheduled for Sunday,
April 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Durant Arts Center, 1605 Cameron St.
You will enjoy classical music, your children will become aware and will learn
how to appreciate classical music, and you will be treated to a light
brunch. What better way to enjoy a Sunday morning?
The April 8 concert will feature Low Brass Orchestral
Highlights (featuring excerpts from works by Wagner, Mozart, Schumann, Mahler,
Berlioz, Hindemith and more!). Learn how the Trombone is featured within the
orchestra. Featured musicians will be: Tyler Castrucci and Stephen Omelsky,
tenor trombone; and Adam Stokes, bass trombone
All tickets are $9 per person, Children under 5 years old

Tyler is Principal Trombone of the Washington Metropolitan
Philharmonic and Second Trombone of the York Symphony Orchestra. He also
performs regularly with the National Philharmonic, Harrisburg Symphony
Orchestra and the Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra. In addition to his busy
performing schedule, Tyler is the Low Brass Instructor for Bishop McNamara High
School, DeMatha High School and the International School of Music.
Stephen (Dr. Omelsky) has performed frequently as Second
Trombone with the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic. He received his
Doctorate of Musical Arts in Trombone Performance from the University of
Maryland, College Park. When he's not playing trombone, Dr. Omelsky can be
found teaching Elementary Music in the Montgomery County Public School system.
Adam is the Bass Trombonist in the Washington Metropolitan
Philharmonic. A Virginia native, Adam received his Master of Music in Trombone
Performance from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. An avid teacher, Adam
maintains a large private studio in Northern Virginia.
