[Archived] City of Alexandria Building Official Becomes President of State Association

City of Alexandria Code Administration Director Gregg Fields was installed as president of the Virginia Building and Code Officials Association (VBCOA) on October 16, at the organization’s annual conference in Virginia Beach.

VBCOA is a statewide organization of building safety professionals dedicated to the protection of the health, safety, and welfare of all persons who live in, work in, or visit Virginia.

As president, Fields is responsible for advancing the interests and welfare of building-related code enforcement. He is also tasked with promoting a closer, more informed relationship among those engaged in the profession of code administration and enforcement in Virginia.

Previously, Fields served as first vice president, sergeant-at-arms, public information officer, and Northern Virginia regional chairman.
