[Archived] Every Vote Counts: RPCA Photo Contest Voting Now Open

The Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities invites you to cast your vote for the photos that best represent the Department’s mission to "Support the well-being of Alexandria's residents by ensuring access to a variety of quality recreation, park and cultural experiences." Online Public Voting is now open through November 15, 2017 in four categories: Recreation, Parks, Cultural Activities and Overall.

All photos were submitted by local amateur and professional photographers and represent scenes from City of Alexandria Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities parks, centers, programs, or events. Photos were selected for voting based on adherence to the Contest Rules and Information. All photos have the possibility of being used in publications and promotions, with photographer acknowledgment when feasible. 

Prizes will be awarded for each category: Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Activities. There will also be one Overall winner. Winners are scheduled to be announced on December 1, 2017 on the Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities website at www.alexandriava.gov/Recreation. All winning photographs will be displayed online and at various recreation centers, and all winning photographers will receive an award certificate in addition to their prize.
