For Immediate Release: October 6, 2017
The City of Alexandria has launched “Housing Heroes,” an initiative to recognize significant pro bono professional and corporate contributions that support the City’s housing affordability programs and the communities they serve. The inaugural class of Heroes includes David Mercer and Pia Trigiani of MercerTrigiani, LLP; Regina Pinkney, formerly with Union Mortgage and now with the Virginia Housing Development Authority (VHDA); Carter Land of Land, Carroll & Blair, PC; and The Paradigm Companies. The City will host a reception to honor the 2017 Housing Heroes on Tuesday, October 10, at 5:30 p.m., at Alexandria City Hall (301 King St.), in Sister Cities Conference Room 1101.
This group of Housing Heroes is being honored for a range of contributions including community involvement, training and counseling efforts, and direct assistance to lower-income Alexandrians in resolving housing crises. At the reception, Mayor Allison Silberberg will present a proclamation to celebrate the Heroes and dedicate a plaque listing their names to be displayed in the Office of Housing.
