[Archived] Alexandria Police Department’s K9s Odin and Zeus Receive Body Armor

In July 2017, the Alexandria Police Department announced that K9s Odin and Zeus were to receive a ballistic and stab-protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. Odin and Zeus have now received their body armor. K9 Odin’s vest is sponsored by an anonymous donor and will be embroidered with the sentiment “In memory of Dr. John T. Dailey & Poncho”. K9 Zeus’s vest is sponsored by Anne Best Rector and Tim Allen of Alexandria, VA, and will be embroidered with the sentiment “Gifted by Anne Best Rector & Timothy O. Allen”. All current Alexandria Police Department K9s now have protective vests and the Alexandria Police Foundation facilitated these donations.
