[Archived] Reminder: October “Bagels and Bach” Concert Sunday, October 1

September 29, 2017

You are invited to help kick-off the “Bagels and Bach” concert series on Sunday, October 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Durant Arts Center, 1605 Cameron St.   The String Trio of the Symphony Orchestra of Northern Virginia will feature concert master Tanya Whisnant; associate principal violist Michael Ream; and principal cellist Hwa Yoo.

The String Trio will perform a delightful concert of string trio favorites from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic eras.  String trios have been a wildly popular chamber music form for hundreds of years, and now these three fine musicians will bring the tradition of this musical experience to the Durant Arts Center!

What better way to enjoy a Sunday morning--you will enjoy classical music, your children will become aware and will learn how to appreciate classical music, and you will be treated to a light brunch. Tickets are $9 per person.  Children under 5 years old are free.   To purchase tickets visit: http://bit.ly/2vSKXRd

The “Bagels and Bach” Concert Series is a family-friendly project of the Office of the Arts, a division of the Alexandria Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities.
