[Archived] William Ramsay Tennis Courts’ Improvements Begin September 11

For Immediate Release: September 1, 2017

The City of Alexandria Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities will be repairing the tennis courts at William Ramsay Park, 5700 Sanger Ave.  The work includes filling cracks, recoating the surface, lining for tennis, futsal and pickleball and installation of new tennis nets and futsal goals.   Weather permitting, work is scheduled for September 11 through October 26. 

Alternate courts for use during construction are in Amistead Boothe Park located at 520 Cameron Station Blvd. and Chambliss Park, located at 2505 N. Chambliss St.

Patrons should expect work throughout the day. For your safety, please be alert to construction activities and use extra caution when moving around the site.
