[Archived] Office of the Arts and the National Capital Puppetry Guild Launch Monthly Puppet Shows at Durant Arts Center

For Immediate Release: August 10, 2017

The Office of the Arts, in collaboration with the National Capital Puppetry Guild, will launch a news series of monthly family-friendly puppet shows at the Durant Arts Center, located at 1605 Cameron St.

Sandy Feulner’s “Puppets and More” will kick-off the series on Saturday, August 12. Puppets and More shows are especially enjoyed by the very youngest of audiences so toddlers are welcome. Two shows will be offered 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.  

Reservations per show are $5 for person, including children. Children must be accompanied by at least one adult. To purchase tickets online, visit www.alexandriava.gov/webtrac,  select activity number:

About Sandy Feulner’s “Puppets and More”

Sandy Feulner’s “Puppets and More” has been entertaining young audiences for more than 30 years. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, her love affair with puppetry comes from her first exposure to Kermit the Frog and this greatly influenced her style as she worked with children. She has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Ohio University. She was also a performer at our World Day of Puppetry Festival which was held in March this year.
