Art Boxes on Sale for Alexandria’s Second Annual Community Supported Art Program

Art boxes are currently on sale for the City of Alexandria’s second annual Community Supported Art (CSA) Program.  Through this limited opportunity, participants can beautify their spaces while supporting local art and artists.

Similar to the Community Supported Agriculture model, in which consumers buy seasonal food directly from local farms, Community Supported Art supports local art, artists and collectors.  Each participant purchases an “art box,” consisting of six pieces of locally-produced artwork (one from each artist below), in media that includes photography, metal, textile, oil, gelatin silver print and ceramics. 

Boxes costs $250, and can be purchased online. Only 50 art boxes are available, and are expected to sell out quickly.
