[Archived] City Recreation Facilities Open to Resident YMCA Members

For Immediate Release: June 16, 2017

In response to the ongoing shooting investigation at Simpson Park, it is anticipated that the ballfields, playground, dog park, walking trails and YMCA will remain closed through this weekend. As a result of the extended closure of the YMCA, the City is offering complimentary use of all City recreation facilities through Sunday, June 18 to all active YMCA members. 

City resident YMCA members may present their membership card to staff at at any of the following facilities:

• Neighborhood Recreation Centers
  
• Outdoor Pools
  
• Chinquapin Park Recreation Center & Aquatics Facility
