[Archived] Park & Recreation Commission to Hold Public Hearing on Cameron Run Park Planning Process

For Immediate Release: June 9, 2017

The Alexandria Park & Recreation Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, June 15 at 7 p.m. at the Charles Houston Recreation Center, 901 Wythe St., to present and receive comment on six park alternatives. Information gathered from public hearing will be used for the development of a recommendation to be provided to City Council in the fall.

After the public hearing, the commission will hear comments from City residents on any other park and recreation related issue not on the agenda. A regular meeting of the Commission will follow the public hearing.

Persons unable to attend the public hearing can send written comments to the Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities, Attention: Dana Wedeles, Acting Principal Planner, 1108 Jefferson St., Alexandria, VA 22314, or e-mail Dana.Wedeles@alexandriava.gov.  Please send comments by Friday, June 30, 2017.
