[Archived] Alexandria Police Announce the Closure of Pierre Clark Homicide Case

Police Chief Michael Brown announced today the closure of the 2016 Pierre Clark homicide investigation by the Alexandria Police Department. The Alexandria Police Department thoroughly investigated a homicide that occurred in the 1000 block of Montgomery Street on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. 

At approximately 12:35 p.m., officers responded to the area for a shooting. Pierre Clark was located by police suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. 

Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Section (CIS) completed an investigation into the circumstances of the homicide which identified Saquan Hall as the shooter. The case was presented to the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office. After a joint review of the case, the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office and the Alexandria Police Department have decided to close the investigation due to the fact that the suspect, Saquan Hall, is deceased.
