[Archived] Alexandria Park & Recreation Commission Schedules Public Hearing on North Potomac Yard Small Area Plan Open Space

For Immediate Release: April 13, 2017     

The public is invited to attend a public hearing to review and discuss the open space elements of the North Potomac Yard Small Area Plan. The public hearing is scheduled for Thursday, April 20 at 7 p.m., at the Charles Houston Recreation Center, 901 Wythe St. The purpose of the public hearing is to present the park elements that support passive and active use.

After discussion on the park plan has concluded, the commission will hear comments from City residents on any other parks and recreation related issue. A regular meeting of the Commission will follow the public hearing.

Persons unable to attend the public hearing can send written comments to the Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities, Attention: Jack Browand, 1108 Jefferson St., Alexandria, VA 22314, or e-mail jack.browand@alexandriava.gov.
