[Archived] Police Investigate Shooting on South Alfred Street

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 600 block of South Alfred Street on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.

At approximately 2:26 p.m., officers responded to a report of gunshots heard in the area of the 600 block of S. Alfred Street. Officers located a 22-year-old male City resident, suffering from an injury to the lower body. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two black males were observed running from the scene after the shooting. There is no further suspect description.
