The
National Capital Puppetry Guild of the Puppeteers of America in collaboration
with the Office of the Arts will “Celebrate the World Day of Puppetry” on
Saturday, March 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. at the Durant
Arts Center, 1605 Cameron St.
The World
Day of Puppetry will offer family-oriented puppet performances, hands-on
workshops, exhibits and sales tables.
Nine puppetry performances will feature Bob Brown Puppets, Dinorock,
Silly Goose and Val, Goodlife Theater, and more!
Other
activities include hands-on puppet-making workshops for families, exhibit
tables and puppet sales.
All
tickets are $5 per person, children 2 years old and under are free.
