[Archived] The Alexandria Commission for the Arts is Accepting Applications for the Torpedo Factory Art Center Community Engagement Process Task Force

The Alexandria Commission for the Arts is currently accepting applications for the Torpedo Factory Art Center (TFAC) Community Engagement Process Task Force. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 12. The five members will include two members of the Commission for the Arts, two members of the community at large (one representing a local business owner), and one leaseholder from the Torpedo Factory Art Center. The members of the task force will be selected through an open application process to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to participate.

All eligible applications will be reviewed by the Alexandria Commission for the Arts who will then appoint the task force members at their meeting on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 7 p.m.

Task force members will be expected to attend monthly meetings as well as participate in the various community engagement activities (i.e. open house events, town halls, focus groups, etc.). The community engagement process is expected to take approximately 6-8 months.
