City Manager Mark B. Jinks invites the public to a presentation of his proposed Fiscal Year 2018 Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program on Thursday, February 23, at Beatley Library (5005 Duke St.), from 7 to 9 p.m. This will be one of several opportunities for members of the community to learn more about the proposed budget.
The meeting will also be streamed live from www.alexandriava.gov, and Jinks will answer questions from in-person attendees and online viewers following his presentation.
On Tuesday, February 21, at 7 p.m., Jinks will formally present the proposed budget to City Council, at a special City Council meeting in the City Council Chamber in Alexandria City Hall, 301 King St.
Proposed budget documents will be available at www.alexandriava.gov/Budget, as well as a detailed schedule of planned work sessions and public hearings culminating with adoption by City Council on May 4.
