[Archived] Alexandria Hosts 44th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Program

Alexandria will honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., in a community event on Sunday, January 15, at 7:30 p.m. The program, Our World, His Dream!  Make it Happen For All! will be held at the Church of St. Clement, 1701 Quaker Ln. The event, presented by the community Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Planning Committee, will include welcome remarks by City Councilwoman Redella S. “Del” Pepper; a keynote address by Dr. Frank Smith, Director of the African American Civil War Museum in Washington, D.C.; and music by the Women’s Ecumenical Choir of the Washington Metropolitan Area.
