[Archived] Pedestrian Dies After October Traffic Crash

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a pedestrian crash that occurred on October 8, 2016, in the 200 block of N. Henry Street.

At approximately 2:06 a.m., police responded to the area for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. The driver, Kyeshia Arrington, 24, of Alexandria, remained at the scene and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

The pedestrian, Peter Palm, 62, of Alexandria, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries initially. His condition worsened and he died on November 19, 2016.  

Members of the Crash Reconstruction Team are investigating the crash. The investigation is ongoing. Alexandria Police ask that witnesses or people with information regarding this incident contact Investigator Jordan Young at 703.746.1816.
