[Archived] Police Investigate Death at Sunrise of Alexandria

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a death that resulted from an assault which occurred in the 3200 block of Duke Street on Monday, October 24, 2016.
 
At approximately 12:30 p.m., the victim, 82, was physically assaulted by a 72 year old male inside the Sunrise of Alexandria. The victim was transported to an area hospital and succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. 
 
The victim has been identified as Hunter Alexander, 82, of Alexandria. 

No charges have been placed at this time. The Alexandria Office of Commonwealth’s Attorney will be consulted regarding any potential charges.
