[Archived] Alexandria Police Make Arrest in Belle Pre Way Homicide

Alexandria Police have charged a suspect with the homicide of Leon Williams, who died from injuries sustained during a shooting that occurred on Belle Pre Way on October 7, 2015.

Brian Bolar, 26, of Dumfries, was arrested for Murder and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon on May 19, 2016. He is being held without bond in the William G. Truesdale Detention Center in Alexandria. 

“Last year when this terrible crime occurred, I promised that our detectives would not rest until this case resulted in the arrest of the perpetrator”, said Chief of Police Earl Cook. “I am continually impressed by the tenacity of our detectives and officers and their dedicated work to close an investigation.” 

The Alexandria Police Department would also like to thank the United States Marshall Service for their assistance in the investigation.
