Alexandria Police are investigating a crash between a vehicle and a bicyclist that occurred on Thursday, May 5, 2016, near the intersection of Duke Street and West Taylor Run Parkway.
At approximately 5:15 p.m., police responded to the area for a bicyclist struck by a vehicle. Initial investigation shows a black vehicle traveling east on Duke Street struck a bicyclist. The driver remained on the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Members of the Crash Reconstruction Team are investigating the incident and seek additional witnesses to the collision.
